Yuki's earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, where she was attacked by a vampire... And then rescued by another. Now 10 years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her savior, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school. But also at her side is Zero Kiryu, a childhood friend who’s hatred for the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear, is now determined never to trust them. This coexisting arrangement seems all well and good, but have the vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions. Is Kaname's infatuation with Yuki the beginning of a forbidden romance, or is it something in her forgotten past that draws him to her. Because in this world of secrets, nothing is as it seems. Vampire Knight Characthers
Yuki Cross (黒主 優姫, Kurosu Yūki/ Kuran Yūki 玖蘭 優姫) is the adoptive daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, and a Guardian, one of the members of the school's disciplinary committee. Ten years prior to the start of the series, Yuki was rescued from a vampire attack by another vampire, Kaname. She lost all memory of her life from before the attack, and was adopted by Headmaster Cross.
Zero Kiryu (錐生 零, Kiryū Zero), who is a year older than Yuki Cross,comes from a vampire hunter family. His parents were killed by the pureblood vampire Shizuka Hio after they were ordered to assassinate her lover, a former human that had not yet fallen to level E. Zero was taken in by the headmaster of Cross Academy and became a Prefect (Guardian), alongside Yuki Cross.He has a great hatred for vampires because of what happened to his parents.
Kaname Kuran (玖蘭 枢, Kuran Kaname), a pureblood vampire, saved Yuki from an attack by another vampire when she was little. He is the class president of the Night Class as well as the dorm leader, much feared and respected by the other Night Class students. While he is cold and authoritative towards his fellows in the Night Class, he is always kind and sweet to Yuki.

Th Anime Begins with yuki's earliest memory of that snowy night where she gets attacks by a vampire but gets saved by kaname.The scene is then changes to the current where yuki and zero are prefects of Cross Academy where Huamn and Vampires are studying at the same school but at different times of the day.Due to reasons,the existance of vampires are being kept a secret.The humans study in the day class while vampires study in the night class.The story slowly progress of yuki,zero&kaname's Daily lifes.The story is being progressed until the part where zero vampire instincts kicks in and bites yuki's neck for blood.The story is then progressed where both yuki and zero are ok again and yuki is getting acustomed to zero's vampire instincts where she goes to an extent to letting her blood sucked by zero inexchange for ending zero's life if he is evolved to a Level E(in other words being berserk due to vampire instincts).After everything seems to cool down between yuki and zero a transfer girl of the night class,Kurenai Maria transfers to cross academy where zero is then being forced to a situation where he have to confronts his past,the vampire who killed his parents,the madly blooming princess,Shizuka Hiou.After a episode or two of Kurenai Maria's Debut it is revealed that Zero's Only Surving family member,Ichiru,Zero's Brother is alive only to be at the service of Shizuka hiou.The anime then progress where the ball is approaching , Yuki is then given a chance to save zero by Maria where she says either she offer her blood or killing kaname in other to prevent zero from falling to a level E.Yuki decides to offer her blood inexchange but ends up getting tricked where she is later saved by zero and which maria goes to her real body,Shizuka hiou where she gets killed by Kaname which he also sucks shizuka's blood to gain a new power.The anime ends at the point where yuki and zero goes to the room where lays shizuka's remains and zero is towards the point of turning to a level E.
Vampire Knight Ratings
Well in my opinion many people have a tendency to think that this is a action anime where its a shoujo and romance anime.I personally think the plot and storyline for season 1 is fabulous to an extent that i started reading the manga.At the end of the season it only made me hungry for more and wished for a season 2 which lead to an annoucement of season 2 afew weeks later.well i will do my vampire knight guilty review another time so stay tune by then.well heres my final verdict below.

Pros:Excellent Storyline,good characther deveolpment,Fantastic Opening from On/Off and wonderful voice acting
Cons:Well i wished there might be more info to some of the not so important characthers at the moment =)
